Our view of the service
Date of assessment: 11 March 2025 to 14 April 2025. The service provided personal care to people living in their own homes. At the time of this assessment 142 people received care. Most staff told us they received good support and received the training they needed. Staff understood the safeguarding and whistle blowing process. They felt confident to raise concerns and said they felt they would be listened to. New staff were recruited safely. People received their medicines when they were due. The provider undertook regular medicines audits to check this happened. The provider had effective quality assurance (QA) systems, which had been successful in identifying areas for improvement and learning lessons. Incidents, accidents, safeguarding concerns and complaints were investigated and action taken to address issues. Learning was identified and shared with staff. There were regular opportunities for staff to provide feedback. The provider worked well with external partners to ensure people received the care they needed. The provider had plans to improve and develop the service moving forward.
People's experience of this service
People and relatives gave positive feedback about the care provided. They told us staff were kind, caring and respectful. They also said they found most staff responsive to changes in people’s needs. People confirmed staff were reliable, turned up on time and accommodated their preferences. People were involved in assessing their needs and deciding how their care should be provided. This was used to develop personalised care plans. The provider consulted people to gather their views about their care and the provider more generally.
