We assessed 14 quality statements and found people received a safe service that was delivered by professional, competent, and well-trained staff. The provider recruited staff appropriately, and people were enabled, and supported to take acceptable risks in an encouraging, and proactive way which enhanced their quality of life. The provider had a person centred approach to care that was cascaded down to staff and promoted, and maintained, an integrated approach to service delivery, which recognised people as individuals, and enhanced their independence. They were provided with choices regarding the service they received, and control over how they received it. The care home sought people’s consent to treatment, and they were encouraged, and supported to maintain healthy diets. The support provided was monitored to encourage improved outcomes for people. People, and their relatives said the service was very well managed, and people were treated with kindness, and compassion, by staff.
