Harley Street Specialist Hospital (HSSH) is an independent acute hospital providing cosmetic, reconstructive, oral, maxillofacial and orthopaedic surgery on a day case and outpatient basis to patients aged 18 years and over. Services are provided over four floors from the location at 18-22 Queen Anne Street, London, W1G 8HU. This inspection focused on surgical activity.

This inspection focused on surgical activity which took place on the lower ground and ground floor. On the lower ground floor there was one operating theatre, an anaesthetic room, two recovery bays and four day-case pods. The ground floor contained one theatre, one patient room and a three bedded recovery bay.
We undertook this unannounced focused assessment on 11 March 2025 following the Care Quality Commission receiving some information of concern relating to aspects of surgical care and treatment. This assessment looked at quality statements in the safe and well led domains for the provider’s surgical services. We found a service that was safe and well led, which had developed its strategy and delivery model since our last visit in 2023.
